Lara DeCaro is a partner at Leland, Parachini, Steinberg, Matzger & Melnick LLP, leading the Cannabis Law and Trademark Groups, with approximately 25 years of experience in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and complex commercial transactions. In addition to their role at LPS, Lara serves as an advisor on the Strategic AI Program Advisory Board at the University of San Francisco School of Management and holds the position of Executive Chair for the Cannabis Law Section of The Bar Association of San Francisco. Lara co-founded the International Cannabis Bar Association and previously held leadership roles in various legal firms, including The DeCaro Law Firm, P.C. Lara obtained a JD in International Environmental Policy from Tulane University Law School and a BS in Education & English from the University of Southern California.
