Luis Miguel Reis

Luis Miguel Reis is an experienced engineering manager currently leading the team responsible for core services related to Payments and Billing at Lemonade since October 2023. Previously, Luis held two roles at Mollie, initially as an Engineering Manager, later advancing to Engineering Manager II, where responsibilities included people and technical leadership for Billing and Bookkeeping services and contributing to their long-term strategic planning. Earlier in his career, Luis served as Team Lead and Software Engineer at StackState, focusing on developing an innovative Algorithmic IT Operations platform, and worked as a Software Engineer at e.near, creating software solutions centered on Risk Management, Anomaly Detection, and KYC using Big Data technologies. Luis holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Software Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. The technology stack includes Scala, Cassandra, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Akka, Google Cloud SDK, and PostgreSQL.
