Sean Burgess

Sean Burgess is the current Chief Claims Officer at Lemonade. Prior to this, they were a Board Member at Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety from January 2018 to January 2020. Sean also served on the Advisory Board at American Red Cross from January 2016 to January 2018. Sean has been with USAA since November 1994 and has held various positions including Chief Claims Officer and SVP.

Sean Burgess graduated from Texas State University with a BA in Mass Communication. Sean then went on to get their Certification from The Institutes in Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). After that, they attended Harvard Business School's General Management Program.
