Huachao Chen

Huachao Chen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in risk analytics and data modeling, currently serving as Senior Director of Lending & Data Modeling and Risk Analytics at LendingClub since February 2016. In this role, Huachao manages the Credit Risk modeling team and delivers critical modeling solutions across various functional areas. Prior to this, Huachao held significant positions including Director of Risk Management at LendingClub, where responsibilities encompassed end-to-end modeling and collaboration across multiple departments. Huachao's background also includes a tenure as Analytic Science Lead Consultant at FICO®, focusing on predictive analytics solutions for diverse industries, as well as experience in marketing analytics at Abbott Laboratories and project work at ZS Associates. Huachao holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Nanjing University.
