Matias Petersen

Matias Petersen has extensive experience in the field of decision science, modeling, and predictive analytics. Matias began their career at GE Capital as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and risk analyst. Matias then joined HSBC, where they held various roles in risk analytics and policy management, overseeing credit cards and regional credit risk and portfolio management for Latin America. Following this, they worked at RBC Bank as the Head of Retail & Mortgage Credit Review, where they successfully rebuilt the independent credit review function. Matias later joined Equifax as the Director of Marketing and Risk Analytics, Key Client Program, responsible for managing analytical projects across marketing, risk, and fraud. Matias then transitioned to LendingClub, where they served in senior leadership positions, including SVP of Decision Science & Modeling and VP of Predictive Modeling and Fraud Strategy. At LendingClub, they led functions such as modeling, fraud strategy, collections strategy, loss forecasting, and portfolio analytics. Matias has also served as a Fintech Advisory Board Member for both Experian and TransUnion.
