Sam Sgro

Sam Sgro is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in architecture and engineering within the financial and scientific sectors. Currently serving as SVP, Chief Architect and Head of Consumer Engineering at LendingClub since August 2021, Sgro previously held roles including Chief Technology Officer at LalTal, Inc., and various positions at LendingClub, Clarivate Analytics, and Thomson Reuters. Notable achievements include leading Web API development, guiding the technical architecture of Cortellis, and contributing to strategic governance across IP & Science applications. Sgro's career began at The Blueprint Initiative and includes pivotal roles in systems development and business growth following the acquisition of Unleashed Informatics by Thomson Scientific. Sgro holds an Hon. B.Sc. in Molecular Plant Biology from the University of Toronto.
