Constance Hengel

Constance Hengel is an experienced healthcare professional with over four decades of nursing and leadership experience. Currently serving as the Executive Director of the Lenoir Hospital Foundation and Director of Community Programming and Development at UNC Lenoir Health Care since August 1997, Constance has established a significant impact in community health and relations. Prior roles include Hospice Nurse at Home Health and Hospice, Inc. from 1991 to 1996, Emergency Department Charge Nurse at Duke University Medical Center from 1982 to 1991, and Staff RN in the Emergency Trauma Unit at Mayo Clinic/St. Mary's Hospital from 1979 to 1982. Constance holds a BSN from Chamberlain College of Nursing and is a UNCG certified health coach, with a strong background in grant writing and community development.
