Dr. Mauro Arruda

Dr. Mauro Arruda currently serves as the Director of the AI Centre of Excellence and the EMEA Regional Leader for the Solutions & Services Group at Lenovo, where efforts focus on developing an AI ecosystem to enhance market engagement and co-create solutions. In addition, Dr. Arruda holds positions as CEO and Co-Founder of Smartia, promoting data and AI utilization for productivity and strategic decision-making in industrial sectors, and as a Board Member at Smartia. Previous roles include Non-Executive Director and Co-Founder at European Power Forecasting, Managing Director and Co-Founder at Digital Engineering Ltd, Innovation Lead at Airbus, Technical Consultant at QinetiQ, and Graduate Engineer at Heliportugal. Dr. Arruda's academic background includes a PhD in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Cranfield University and a Master's in Aeronautical Engineering from Universidade da Beira Interior.
