Karen Ware

Karen Ware currently holds the position of Executive Director, Legal and General Counsel for ISG at Lenovo, a role commenced in January 2024. Prior to this, Karen served as Chief Legal Counsel for Global IP & Data Privacy and Assistant Secretary at BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions from July 2022 to January 2024, following an extensive tenure at BASF Corporation that included various roles such as Associate General Counsel and Senior Counsel from April 2011 to July 2022. Earlier professional experience includes serving as Assistant General Counsel/Senior IP Counsel at MeadWestvaco and as an IP Specialist/Patent Attorney at E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company. Karen's career began as a Chemical Engineer/Project Manager at EC/R Incorporated. Academically, Karen Ware holds an LLM in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University, an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, a Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
