Bernhard Durchschlag

Bernhard Durchschlag has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Bernhard currently holds the position of Vice President Business Process Management at Lenzing Group, starting in December 2021. Prior to this, they served as Vice President Global Information Technology a.i. from June 2022 to December 2022. From March 2016 to November 2021, Bernhard was the Vice President Global Purchasing at Lenzing Group.

Before joining Lenzing Group, Bernhard had significant roles at Sumitomo (SHI) Demag and Demag Plastics Group. At Sumitomo (SHI) Demag, they served as the General Manager Global Supply Chain from November 2009 to September 2013 and as the Global Director Strategic and Operative Procurement from August 2007 to October 2009. At Demag Plastics Group, they held the positions of Team Leader Strategic and Operative Purchasing from August 2006 to July 2007 and Strategic Purchaser with lead buyer responsibilities within the mpm group from July 2004 to July 2006.

Prior to their roles at Sumitomo (SHI) Demag and Demag Plastics Group, Bernhard worked at Gerot Lannach as an Assistant to the Production Manager from October 1999 to June 2004. Bernhard was responsible for tasks such as construction of tools and modification plans for production line improvements.

Bernhard also gained experience at Arcelor, where they completed their Diploma Thesis in the Strategic Purchasing Department from May 2003 to October 2003.

Bernhard Durchschlag attended Technische Universität Wien from 1998 to 2004, where they obtained a degree in Industrial Engineering (Dipl.Ing.). In 2002 and 2003, they also studied Industrial Engineering at École Centrale Paris.
