Mike Hopkins

Systems Engineer at Leo Cancer Care

Mike Hopkins has worked in the systems engineering field for more than 20 years. Mike began their career in 1998 at Cubic Transportation Systems, where they served as a Senior Systems Engineer. Mike's role included developing and integrating the Oyster card system into the London Transport ticketing system, introducing systems engineering and associated information management, and engineering representing a team that obtained ISO14001 certification. In 2011, they moved to Elekta Oncology Systems, where they served as a Senior Systems Engineer. In 2017, they joined Igence Software Ltd. as a Principal Systems Engineer. In 2020, they moved to Harmonic Limited, where they served as a Senior Consultant. Most recently, they joined Leo Cancer Care in 2021 as a Systems Engineer.

Mike Hopkins completed their Bachelor's degree in Physics from Royal Holloway, University of London. Mike also completed an Adv Dip EDM (Open) (Post Graduate level) in Environmental Decision Making from The Open University. Additionally, they completed postgraduate courses in Systems Engineering, Project Management, HCI, Software Engineering; Level 2: Living Psychology from The Open University. Lastly, they earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Radiation and Environmental Protection from the University of Surrey.
