Joe Ferreria has a diverse work experience across various law enforcement agencies. Joe started their career as a Topographical Engineer Specialist in the United States Department of the Army from 1986 to 1991. Joe then served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Petty Officer Third Class, where they were involved in law enforcement activities such as drug seizures and human smuggling interdiction from 1991 to 1993. Following that, they joined the Los Angeles Police Department and worked in different divisions, including Van Nuys, Wilshire, and Hollenbeck, and took on roles such as a training officer, hostage negotiator, and member of the Mental Assessment Team from 1994 to 2007. Joe later served as a Deputy Sheriff in the Riverside County Sheriff's Department for a brief period in 2007. From 2008 to 2012, they worked as a Police Officer at the Fontana Police Department, where they handled various assignments such as patrol, investigations, and training. Since 2019, they have been working at LEO Technologies, LLC, where they started as an Investigative Specialist and then became a Supervisory Investigative Specialist, responsible for managing complex investigations and supervising Investigative Specialists on the Georgia Department of Corrections account. Joe currently holds the position of Director of Business Development at LEO Technologies, LLC.

Joe Ferreria attended the College of the Canyons, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice in 2007. Joe also received several certifications from the California POST, including Basic POST Certification in March 1996, Intermediate POST Certification in May 2007, and Advanced POST Certification in May 2007.
