Timothy Day

Dr. Timothy Day is the current Vice President and General Manager of Daylight Solutions at Leonardo DRS. Timothy has been with Leonardo DRS since 2017, when they joined the company after serving as the Co-Founder and CEO of Daylight Solutions from 2005 to 2017.

Prior to Daylight Solutions, Dr. Day was with New Focus from 1990 to 2004, where they served as Co-Founder, CTO and SVP. Timothy was also a Graduate Research Assistant at Stanford University from 1987 to 1990.

Dr. Day has a wealth of experience in the area of photonics and has played a key role in the development of many innovative products and technologies throughout their career. Timothy is a highly respected figure in the industry and their work has helped to shape the field of photonics over the past several decades.

Timothy Day has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, as well as a BS/MS in Physics from San Diego State University.

They work with Philip Perconti - CTO, Mark A. Dorfman - Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, and Dave Fields - Vice President and General Manager, Global Enterprise Solutions. Timothy Day reports to William J. Lynn III, Chief Executive Officer.
