Akash Dowra

Akash Dowra is currently serving as the Chief Strategy Officer at Lesaka Technologies Inc. since October 2025. Prior to this role, Akash held various positions at Deloitte from January 2008 to October 2025, including Managing Partner and Partner, as well as positions as a Trainee Accountant and Audit Clerk. Akash also worked at Discovery Limited from February 2017 to January 2024, where responsibilities included Chief Growth Officer, Head of Technical Marketing for Discovery Bank, and Deputy General Manager for Special Projects. Earlier in the career, Akash was with McKinsey & Company from February 2011 to February 2017 as an Associate Partner, Engagement Manager, and Associate. Akash holds a BComm (Accounting) Honours degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, obtained between January 2003 and December 2007, following education at Port Shepstone High from January 1999 to December 2003.
