Melicia Deidre Pieterse has an extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. Melicia Deidre began their career as a Retail Stock Controller at Game Store from 2004 to 2009. Melicia Deidre then worked as a Research - Customer Insights Analyst at SHERIDANGLOBAL UK LIMITED from 2009 to 2010, where they were responsible for analyzing and interpreting data to identify trends and behaviors.

Pieterse then joined Zoom Advertising as an Account Executive from 2010 to 2011, followed by Parow Shopping Centre as a Marketing & Exhibition Coordinator from 2011 to 2012. In this role, they were the first point of contact for the marketing department and provided hands-on support to the Marketing Manager.

From 2012 to 2013, Pieterse worked in Brand Management at Distell, where they drove the development and implementation of fully integrated brand plans across multiple premium brands. Melicia Deidre also developed digital campaigns and programs and managed commercial elements and benchmark costs.

Pieterse then joined ninety9cents as a Broadcast Media Production professional from 2013 to 2018. Melicia Deidre project managed TV, radio, and digital production jobs and maintained effective working relationships with stakeholders.

From 2018 to 2022, Pieterse worked at Old Mutual South Africa, first as a Marketing Practitioner for Retail Branch & Corporate Sales and then as a Marketing Portfolio Lead for Banking, Corporate Sales, Retail Branch, and Sponsorships. In these roles, they managed campaigns, fulfilled processes, and provided strategic direction to advertising agencies.

In 2022, Pieterse joined Mukuru as a Marketing Campaign Manager for a brief period before moving to Lesaka Technologies Inc., where they currently hold the position of Marketing Operations & Campaign Management.

Melicia Deidre Pieterse earned a National Diploma in Marketing from Cape Peninsula University of Technology from 2006 to 2008. Later, they pursued further education and obtained a Bachelor of Technology - BTech degree in Marketing from the same university, studying from 2010 to 2011. In 2020, they attended the Red & Yellow Creative School of Business where they completed a certificate program in Digital Marketing Professional.
