Anne McCarthy

Anne McCarthy is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technology and community engagement. Currently serving on the 2023 SQUAD Advisory Board at Lesbians Who Tech & Allies, McCarthy has been with Automattic since September 2014, holding various roles including Product Wrangler and Developer Relations Wrangler. In these positions, McCarthy has focused on enhancing the open source community of WordPress, improving organizational processes, and fostering a culture of communication and inclusivity. Previous experience includes technical leadership as a Happiness Engineer Team Lead, as well as roles in web development and instructional technology. McCarthy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
