Laura Giffney has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Laura started their professional career at Arnotts in 2004 as a Sales Assistant and worked there until 2015. During their time at Arnotts, Laura was promoted to Brand Manager for Bedeck, where they were responsible for driving sales and managing a large sales volume. In 2015, Laura joined LetsGetChecked, initially starting as an Account Manager and later taking on roles such as Customer Solutions Manager, Production and Quality Manager, and Quality Systems Coordinator. Currently, Laura holds the position of VP Client Operations at LetsGetChecked.

Laura Giffney attended Manor House Secondary School in Raheny, Dublin from 2002 to 2007, where they completed their high school education. Following that, they enrolled at Trinity College Dublin and pursued a degree in Clinical Speech and Language Studies from 2007 to 2011. In 2017, Laura returned to Trinity College Dublin and embarked on the Children's & General Nursing Integrated Degree Programme, focusing on obtaining a BSc degree. Laura is expected to complete their nursing degree in 2022.
