Sammy M. serves as the Group Chief Digital and Data Officer at Letshego since March 2024, after a distinguished role as Executive Head of Department for Business Payments at M-PESA Africa, where Sammy successfully deployed digital payment solutions for over 800K SMEs across multiple countries. Prior experience includes a tenure as Director for Sub Saharan Africa at Visa, where strategic product development took place, and various leadership positions in product strategy and development at institutions such as NIC Bank Limited, Sidian Bank, and Chase Bank Kenya Ltd. An early career in telecommunications with airtel included significant contributions to mobile data strategies and customer retention. Sammy holds an MSc in Financial & Business Economics from the University of Essex and a BA in Economics from Michigan State University, complemented by a Diploma in Information Technology from Jomo Kenyatta University.
