Samuel Peck

Samuel Peck has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Samuel is currently the Director of Data Engineering at Level Home Inc., a position they have held since October 2021. Previously, they worked at Dwelo as a Data Tools Architect for three years from July 2018 to October 2021.

Before that, Samuel was a Technical Lead at Voxox for five years from October 2013 to July 2018. Samuel acted as the lead contributor on small teams, undertaking projects ranging from 1 to 6 weeks in length. Samuel'sresponsibilities included migrating code, solving concurrency issues, designing system architecture, and implementing automation tests.

Prior to Voxox, Samuel worked as a Technical Lead at Pathway Genomics for a year from July 2012 to October 2013. In this role, they collaborated with internal customers to extend and maintain existing software systems, as well as implemented large system upgrades and feature releases.

From 2008 to 2012, Samuel held multiple roles at Activated Ministries, including IT Manager, SEM/SEO Manager, and PHP Developer. As the IT Manager, they oversaw IT operations, while as the SEM/SEO Manager, they planned and executed search strategies and achieved significant improvements in online conversions and ROI. Additionally, Samuel worked as a PHP Developer for Activated Ministries from 2006 to 2008.

Samuel also worked as an SEO/SEM Consultant for their own business from 2007 to 2012. In this role, they provided consulting services on SEO and SEM strategies, such as running successful paid search campaigns, auditing websites, and implementing technical changes to improve rankings.

Samuel began their career as a Developer Extraordinaire as a Freelance Developer from 2003 to 2004 and later as a PHP Developer at Team Foundation from 2005 to 2006. Samuel's first professional experience was as a C++ Developer at ActionEra Software from 2000 to 2002, where they designed and implemented a custom UI for a database-driven movie rating application.

Samuel Peck attended Zhejiang University from 1998 to 1999, where they studied Mandarin Chinese. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certifications in Machine Learning from Coursera in May 2014 and in Probabilistic Graphical Models from Coursera in June 2013.
