Gene A. Grant II has an extensive work experience in the financial services industry. Gene A. began their career in 1999 as the Chief Executive Officer of e-primefinancial plc, a technologically based financial services company. In the same year, they also served as Interim Chief Executive for the Trading Systems Division of Lombard Risk Systems. From 1996 to 1999, they worked as European COO for Global OTC Derivatives and Fixed Income Trading at Deutsche Bank, London. From 2001 to 2007, they were a Senior Management Consultant for Panache Resources and Systems Corp, working on complex, strategic, or sensitive issues which required expertise on both business and technology. From 2007 to 2011, they were the Global Head of FICC Derivative Technology at Standard Chartered Bank. From 2011 to 2014, they were the Managing Director, Global Head of Business Evolution Group at BBVA SA. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Managing Director, Deputy to Head CIB USA and Global Head of Business Evolution Group at BBVA Compass. In 2017, they were the Chief Executive Officer of LevelField Financial. Gene A. is currently on Garden Leave, deciding upon their next challenge.

Gene A. Grant II has a diverse educational background. Gene A. completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Finance at the NYU Stern School of Business between 1990 and 1992. Prior to that, they obtained an MBA in Finance from the University of Manitoba in 1990 and a BSc in Chemistry/Microbiology from the same institution in 1989. Gene A. also holds certifications from the National Futures Association, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination (Series 66).
