Kristen Contreras

Kristen Contreras has extensive work experience in the finance and accounting industry. Kristen is currently the Managing Director at LevelUp Finance, where they have been since 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Vice President at Accordion Partners from 2018 to 2020.

Kristen also has previous experience as a Financial Reporting Consultant at RGP from 2013 to 2017, where they worked on various projects for Fortune 500 clients such as Google, McKesson Corporation, and Core-Mark, Inc. Kristen also held the position of Corporate Controller at Bioness, Inc. from 2010 to 2013, where they managed the global accounting and financial reporting team.

Before that, Kristen worked as an Audit Manager at J.H. Cohn LLP from 2004 to 2010 and as a Staff Accountant at Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro LLP from 2000 to 2002.

In addition to their professional experience, Kristen was a Member of the Board of Directors for the L.A. Chapter of the California Society of CPAs/CalCPA Education Foundation from 2008 to 2014.

Kristen Contreras earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from California State University, Northridge from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Arts degree in Accounting at Santa Monica College from 2000 to 2002. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained several certifications including Chartered Global Management Accountant from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Certified Information Systems Auditor from the Information Security and Control Association, and Certified Public Accountant from the California State Board of Accountancy.
