Cory King

Cory King has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Cory is currently working as a Human Resources Labor Relations Manager at Lewis Bakeries, where they oversee labor contracts, provides interpretation on employee grievances, and advises on labor and employee relations matters. Prior to this, Cory worked as an Account Manager at Systematic Business Consulting, where they facilitated the hiring process for direct placements in the Manufacturing and Equipment Service Industry. Before transitioning into HR, Cory had a long career in the US Navy, where they held several positions, including Director of Operations and Talent Acquisitions, Regional Manager of Senior Talent Acquisitions, Sales and Recruiting Operations Manager, and Electrical System Engineer. In these roles, Cory managed teams, implemented talent identification methods, supervised technical recruiters, developed performance improvement plans, and maintained relationships with community organizations and educational institutions. Overall, Cory has a strong background in HR, talent acquisition, and leadership.

Cory King attended the U.S. Naval War College for an unspecified period of time until 2018, where they pursued studies in the Senior Enlisted Academy. In addition to their education at the U.S. Naval War College, Cory King obtained several certifications and completed various courses. These include the following certifications: Managing Employee Performance from Coursera, obtained in May 2022; Recruiting, Hiring, and Onboarding Employees from Coursera, obtained in April 2022; and Preparing to Manage Human Resources from Coursera, obtained in March 2022. They also obtained a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification with a focus on problem solving, value stream mapping, project management, and other related topics from Tri-county Career Academy in January 2021. Furthermore, Cory King holds certifications from the U.S. Department of Labor, including Office Manager/Administrative Services received in September 2017, Counselor (Professional & Kindred) obtained in March 2012, and Electrician, Maintenance (Any Industry) received in May 2008. Additionally, they completed a course in Dynamic Presentations/Managing for Increased Productivity from Dale Carnegie Training in August 2011.
