David Russell is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the agricultural and biotechnology sectors. Currently serving as an Operating Partner at Lewis & Clark AgriFood since May 2019 and as a Venture Partner at Lewis & Clark Ventures since 2016, David has previously held significant roles including Director of Technology Prospecting at Monsanto from 2007 to 2016 and VP of Product Development & Technology at Renessen LLC from 1999 to 2007. Earlier in their career, David was the Director of Animal Nutrition at Agracetus from 1986 to 1998 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University from 1983 to 1986. David obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Rice University between 1978 and 1983.
