Eckley is an associate in the firm's Litigation Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm, he was a deputy district attorney in the criminal division of the Clark County District Attorney’s Office. As deputy district attorney, Eckley worked alongside the Southern Nevada Counter Terrorism Center and the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task forces to prosecute domestic terrorism and high-level drug trafficking organizations. Eckley has significant experience as a trial lawyer, having secured high profile guilty verdicts and plea bargains in cases involving a range of criminal acts.
In 2020, Eckley was appointed by Governor Sisolak to the Nevada State Council for Interstate Adult Offender Supervision. In 2021, he received the Unit Meritorious award from Sherriff Joe Lombardo in connection with his prosecution of domestic terrorism in Southern Nevada, and he received the Nevada Narcotic Officers Association’s Prosecutor of the Year Award. Eckley was also a recurring instructor on report-writing classes for police officers in Southern Nevada. He is a member of the Clark County Bar Association as well as the Howard D. McKibben American Inn of Court.
Eckley graduated with a JD/MBA from the University of Southern California, earning an additional graduate certificate in entertainment law. While in law school, Eckley served as a legal extern for the Honorable Cam Ferenbach of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. He was also senior content editor for the Southern California Review of Law and Social Justice. Following law school, Eckley served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Johnnie B. Rawlinson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
