Lauren Smith

Lauren Smith has extensive work experience in business development and marketing roles within the legal industry. Lauren started their career in 2003 as a Research Assistant/Corporate Finance Assistant at Stephens Inc. and later worked as a Client Service Coordinator at Locke Liddell & Sapp LLP. In 2007, they became a Marketing Coordinator at Greenberg Traurig, LLP. Lauren then joined Locke Lord LLP in 2008, initially serving as a Business Development Specialist and later transitioning into the role of Business Development Manager until 2015. During their time at Locke Lord LLP, they were responsible for managing various business development activities and budgets. Following this, they worked as a Group Marketing Manager at Winstead PC from 2015 to 2017, overseeing marketing activities and managing sponsorships for key practice and industry groups. Lauren then joined Lex Mundi in 2017 as a Business Development Manager and was later promoted to the role of Head of Global Practice Groups in 2020. In this role, Lauren is responsible for coordinating cross-border legal teams and developing tools and resources to support member firms and in-house counsel.

Lauren Smith attended The University of the South from 1998 to 2002 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. In 2003, they enrolled in the SMU Cox School of Business Graduate Finance Certificate Program at Southern Methodist University, completing it in 2004. No specific field of study was indicated for either degree.
