Héctor Garrido Charme

Héctor Garrido Charme has a long and varied work experience. In 2021, they began working at Universidad de Las Américas (CL) as the Director of Administration and Labor Relations. In this role, they are responsible for providing legal advice to internal clients, analyzing labor risks, and ensuring compliance with the institution's regulations. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as Counsel Laboral at Lexgo. From 2016 to 2018, they were an Attorney for Collective Negotiation and Labor Compliance at Lizama Abogados. In this role, they provided corporate labor advice to companies, and assisted in collective negotiation and labor relations. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Pasante/Intern at The World Bank. In this role, they conducted research and wrote reports for the energy, health, and water and sanitation areas. Finally, from 2012 to 2016, they worked as a Supervisory Attorney at the Superintendencia de Seguridad Social. In this role, they were responsible for preparing reports on occupational accidents, diseases, and medical leave.

Héctor Garrido Charme's education history includes attending Pedro de Valdivia-Providencia School from 1992 to 2003, followed by Universidad de Chile from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.). Héctor then attended Universidad de Chile from 2013 to 2014, where they obtained a Magister en Derecho del Trabajo y de la Seguridad Social / Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Labor Law. In 2015, they attended The George Washington University Law School, where they obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International and Comparative Law. In addition, Héctor Garrido Charme has obtained five certifications from the University of Pennsylvania - Coursera, including Effective Compliance Programs, Privacy Law and Data Protection, Regulatory Compliance, What is Corruption: Anti-Corruption and Compliance, and What is Compliance?
