Suma Gopinathan

Suma Gopinathan, PhD, is an accomplished pharmaceutical professional with extensive experience in both discovery and clinical development. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Discovery at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since February 2016, Suma has previously held titles of Vice President of Clinical Development and Executive Director within the same organization. Prior to this, Suma worked as a Senior Consultant at multiple companies from February 2014 to February 2016 and began a career at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Scientist from July 2002 to February 2014. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Houston, a Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) from Kakatiya University, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from Bangalore University.
