Julie A. Chapman is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as the VP & Head of Legal for North America at LexisNexis since June 2021, overseeing a team of 10 lawyers and reporting directly to the EVP, General Counsel (Global). With extensive experience in the legal sector, Julie has also held the position of Head of Legal (General Counsel) and Chief Privacy Officer for LexisNexis Canada Inc. since June 2010, where responsibilities include managing the legal department and providing strategic business advice. Furthermore, Julie is part of the Board of Directors for both LexisNexis Canada Inc. and RELX subsidiaries in the United States. Previous roles include Legal Counsel at Symcor and Associate Lawyer at Gardiner Roberts LLP. Julie holds a Bachelor of Laws/JD from Osgoode Hall Law School, an Executive degree in Organizational Leadership from Harvard Business School, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Business Law from Toronto Metropolitan University.
