Lucia Thielman

Lucia Thielman is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in research and project management focused on age-friendly environments and community health. Currently serving as a Project Officer and Researcher at AFEdemy since September 2022, Lucia aims to promote independent living and social inclusion through the implementation of smart healthy age-friendly environments across European countries. As a PhD candidate at Leyden Academy on Vitality and Ageing, Lucia's research explores collaboration within age-friendly and resilient communities, building on insights from Dutch health and welfare networks. Previous roles include Junior Researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Project Coordinator at Stichting Move, and research internships at Gemeente Rotterdam and Leyden Academy. Lucia holds a Master's degree in Management Policy-Analysis and Entrepreneurship in Health and Life Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Leiden University.
