Jeewoong Son

Jeewoong Son is the President of the Life Sciences Company at LG Chem, a position held since February 2017. Prior to this role, Jeewoong Son served as the Chief Medical Officer at Hanmi Pharmaceuticals from September 2010 to January 2017, where responsibilities included overseeing global business development and innovation R&D. Jeewoong Son's earlier career included significant roles at AstraZeneca from August 2002 to September 2010, focusing on Asian clinical development, including positions such as Senior Medical Advisor and Head of Clinical Science Department in Japan. Educationally, Jeewoong Son earned an MD from Seoul National University and a PhD in Genomics/Medicine, alongside an MBA in Business Administration from Korea University.
