Youngjoo Lee

Youngjoo Lee is an accomplished technology fellow and head of the Manufacturing AI Department at LG Display, where responsibilities include big data analytics for manufacturing yield enhancement, automatic defect detection and classification using computer vision, virtual metrology across various equipment, and AI-driven demand forecasting and production planning. Prior to this role, Youngjoo Lee served as a principal engineer at Samsung Electronics, focusing on process fault detection, automotive equipment control, and high-performance image processing, as well as virtual metrology and process equipment productivity enhancement. Academic credentials include a Ph.D., Master’s, and Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Seoul National University.
