Doug Gray

Doug Gray has extensive experience in the software engineering and project management fields. Doug is currently working as the Director of Software Engineering at LG Energy Solution Vertech, Inc. since February 2022. Prior to this, they held the same position at NEC Energy Solutions from January 2021. Doug also worked as a Senior Program Manager at NEC Energy Solutions from June 2018 to January 2021.

Doug's previous experience includes roles such as Technical Project Manager at Asynchrony Labs from July 2015 to June 2018, where they coordinated work between multiple Agile teams and interfaced with client project managers. Doug also worked as a Program Manager at NEC Energy Solutions from May 2014 to June 2015, where they provided technical guidance and drove development schedules.

Before that, Doug held various roles at A123 Systems, including Program Manager from December 2012 to April 2014, where they managed the controls software team, and Senior Software Engineer from July 2010 to November 2012, where they developed software and control systems for integration with the power grid. Doug also worked as a Project Manager - Control Systems Engineer at McEnery Automation from August 2007 to July 2010, successfully managing projects and updating development standards.

Doug began their career as a Software Engineer at Sanmina-SCI from 2005 to 2007, programming and maintaining medical devices, and as a Control Systems Engineer at McEnery Automation from January 2001 to August 2004, automating manufacturing processes. Doug also interned at Washington University School of Medicine in 1997, assisting with web application development and database scripting.

Doug Gray obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, where they attended from 1997 to 2002. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, where they studied between 2004 and 2010. In addition to their degrees, Doug also holds several certifications, including the NABCEP PV Associate certification from NABCEP: North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners, which they obtained in May 2018. Doug also obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in June 2015 and the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification from the same institution in July 2020.
