Marimuthu Selvam is a highly skilled Senior Research Engineer specializing in robotics, with experience from leading companies in the field. Currently at LG Soft India since May 2022, Marimuthu focuses on developing algorithms for dynamic obstacle detection and tracking, enhancing autonomy through improved SLAM map merging. Previously, as a Software Engineer at ASIMOV Robotics from January 2021 to May 2022, Marimuthu developed the Safe Aside Algorithm and a Custom Recovery Planner, as well as a Finite State Machine for robotic systems, contributing to the Sayabot autonomous humanoid project. At LEADING EDGE FUTURING TECHNOLOGY PVT LTD from April 2019 to December 2020, Marimuthu collaborated on robot design and development, encompassing path planning, navigation, and localization solutions utilizing Robot Operating System (ROS), Python, C++, and OpenCV. Marimuthu holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics from Anna University, earned between 2012 and 2016.
