Don Zuidema

Don is a native of Rochester, New York, and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Public Relations from the University of Maryland, College Park. He and his partners moved full-time to Palm Springs in September 2019 after over 35 years as owners of LASC, a retail and wholesale men’s clothing company located in West Hollywood. He served on the Board of the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and was Chair of the Political Action Committee for the Chamber. He also served on the Board of the Gay and Lesbian Elder Housing Corporation providing affordable housing and care for the LGBTQ+ elder community in Los Angeles as well as on the Board of the West Hollywood Visitors and Convention Bureau. LASC supported many local organizations through its charitable giving including The Trevor Project and APLA. He joined The Center of the Desert Board in spring 2022.
