Alan Butcher is a seasoned IT professional with over 25 years of global experience in technology operations, leadership, and strategic project delivery. They served as the Interim Head of Technology Operations at Legal & General Investment Management since 2018, after a notable tenure as Director of IT for Friends Life Group, reporting directly to the Group Chief Operating Officer. Their career spans multiple leadership roles across prestigious organizations, including Swiss Re, Citibank Global Asset Management, and CIGNA International, where they managed significant budgets and large teams, advocating for transformational change and operational efficiency. Alan holds an O.N.C. in Communications Engineering, acquired during their early apprenticeship at British Telecom. They are currently retired.
