Tom Elders M.sc.

Tom Elders M.Sc., M.B.A. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of engineering and management. Tom is currently serving as the Head of Central Data Unit at the Local Government Management Agency (LGMA) since September 2021. Prior to this, Tom worked at Oracle for over 20 years, holding various leadership positions. Tom was a Senior Engineering Manager, specializing in Engineering & Innovation Team Development, Product Development, Data Analytics, Project Management, and Process Development. Tom also served as a Software Engineering Manager, where they focused on Service Management Solution Development and Advanced Monitoring Solution Development. Before joining Oracle, Tom worked at IBM as a Software Development Engineer, primarily focusing on C++/Java engineering and providing consultation for e-Business projects.

Tom Elders holds a diverse education history with a strong focus on technology and data-related fields. Tom completed a Certificate in Data Analytics 360 from Cornell University in 2021, specializing in Data Science. In 2006, they obtained an M.Sc. in Internet Systems from Dublin City University, further enhancing their expertise in IT. Tom also pursued a Professional Diploma in Data Analytics from University College Dublin in 2014, supplementing their skills in this area.

In terms of business education, Tom earned an MBA from University College Dublin in 2010, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of various business aspects. Additionally, they obtained an M.Sc. in Technology Management from the same institution between 2006 and 2008, focusing on the intersection of management and technology.

Tom's educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Applications from Dublin City University, completed between 1992 and 1996. This degree laid the foundation for their career in IT.
