Sen Gao

Sen Gao possesses extensive experience in materials science and engineering, having served as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Northeastern University from September 2015 to December 2020, where responsibilities included training master’s students and leading research projects. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, Sen developed Si micro-particle derived nanowires and investigated ultra-narrow Si nanowires arrays. Currently employed as a Research Scientist at A123 Systems since July 2021, focus areas include developing high energy-density anodes for All-Solid-State Batteries and engineering solid electrolyte interfaces. In July 2024, Sen transitioned to Liatris, Inc. as a Research Chemist, dedicated to creating high-performance thermal insulation materials. Academic credentials include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, a Master of Engineering in Applied Chemistry from Beihang University, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Inorganic & Nonmetallic Materials Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing.
