Amr al-Shafai

Amr Al-Shafai is currently serving as the Legal & Compliance Manager at Libano-Suisse Takaful Egypt since June 2023 and is a Certified Inclusive Insurance Trainer at the International Labor Organization in Geneva, focusing on inclusive insurance and SME coverage. Al-Shafai is also a member of the governance, compliance, and enterprise risk management committee for the Insurance Federation of Egypt. Previously, Al-Shafai led compliance, governance, and anti-money laundering efforts as Head at Wethaq Takaful Insurance Company until May 2023. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's and multiple diplomas in Law from Ain Shams University, a Master's in International Commercial Law, and various certifications in insurance and governance.
