Adriano Azinheira Massuia

Adriano Azinheira Massuia has a diverse work experience in data science and mathematical modeling. Adriano is currently the Head of Data Science at Liber since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Science Consultant from 2019 to 2023, where they were involved in various projects in industries such as banking, telecom, insurance, and advertisement. Adriano'sresponsibilities included developing a credit score model for under-served customers using alternative data, and conducting a natural language processing (NLP) project to automatically answer questions from domain-specific questionnaires.

Before joining Liber, Adriano worked at Cignifi Inc. from 2013 to 2019. Adriano held the position of Director of Data Science, LatAm from 2017 to 2019, and Data Science Manager from 2013 to 2017. At Cignifi, they gained experience in managing data science teams and leading projects in the LatAm region.

From 2012 to 2013, Adriano worked at Sky Brasil as a Statistics Supervisor. During their tenure, they completed projects involving Markov Chains.

Adriano's earlier experience includes working as a Mathematics Consultant at HDI Seguros from 2010 to 2012, where they developed forecast models and defined optimal offerings policies using linear programming techniques. Prior to that, they held the role of a Senior Mathematical Modeling Analyst at Itaú Unibanco from 2008 to 2010 and a Statistical Modeling Analyst at Unibanco from 2005 to 2008. Adriano worked on various mathematical modeling projects, optimization projects, automatic categorization algorithms, and behavior and credit scoring models.

Adriano started their career as a Mathematical Modeling Analyst at UniSoma in 2004, where they gained experience in solving linear programming problems, vehicle routing problems, and employee scheduling using various programming languages and software.

Adriano Azinheira Massuia completed a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics with a focus on Operations Research from Universidade Estadual de Campinas from 2001 to 2004. Adriano then pursued a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics with a specialization in Statistical Learning from USP - Universidade de São Paulo from 2006 to 2009. Adriano also obtained a Technical degree in Electronics from ETEC (Technical School) Aprigio Gonzaga from 1997 to 1999, and a Technical degree in Data Processing from ETEC (Technical School) Basilides de Godoy from 1996 to 1998.
