Shako Gabunia

Shako Gabunia has an extensive work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles.

Shako began their career at JSC Energo-pro Georgia in 2011, where they started as an intern in the Budgeting & Reporting Department. Shako then progressed to become a Junior Specialist and later a Specialist in the same department, staying with the company until May 2014.

In 2015, Gabunia joined Liberty Bank as a Financial Planning Manager. Shako held this role for two years, leaving in October 2017.

Gabunia then moved to FINCA Bank Georgia in August 2019, assuming the position of a Financial Risk Analyst. After a year in this role, they were promoted to Financial Risk Manager in October 2020, and they remained in that position until October 2021.

Currently, Shako Gabunia is the Head of Portfolio Risk Management Division at Liberty Bank, a position they started in January 2022.

Shako Gabunia obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance from the Free University of Tbilisi, Business School ESM in 2011. In 2016, Shako also obtained The ACCA Diploma in International Financial Reporting (DipIFR) from ACCA.
