Michelle Clements

Michelle Clements has a strong background in operations and management, with experience working at several insurance and financial companies. Michelle began their career at Principal Financial Group in 1990, where they served as a Manager responsible for fixed annuity product administration and the implementation of Workflow Re-Engineering and Image Technology. Michelle later joined Americo Life Insurance, Inc as an Assistant Vice President of Operations from 1997 to 2001. In 2001, they joined Clark Consulting as an Associate Sales Consultant, where they built client relationships, handled sales and marketing, and ensured regulatory compliance. Michelle then moved up to the role of Regional Operations Director from 2004 to 2007, and subsequently served as a Senior Project Manager from 2008 to 2009. In 2010, Michelle joined Principal Financial Group again, this time as the Director of Sales Support and Account Management, a position they held until 2019. More recently, Michelle has been working at Liberty Bankers Insurance Group, first as Vice President of Operations from 2019 to 2021, and currently as the Senior Vice President of Operations. In this role, they oversee operations for multiple companies and lines of business, focusing on retail and institutional annuity sales and the implementation of a digital admin platform.

Michelle Clements earned a BA in Business Management from Central College, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Michelle later pursued an MBA in Business Administration at Drake University from 1992 to 1994. In addition, they obtained a FLMI (Fellow-Life Management Institute) degree from LOMA (Life Office Management Association) from 1991 to 1993.
