Max Luckey has a long and varied work experience in digital strategy, client relations, and communications. In 2008, they were an Education Coordinator and Technical Support for Simplweb.com, where they wrote and published guides, tutorials, and manuals to maximize user capabilities on Simplweb websites. In 2010, they were a Digital Campaign Coordinator for Global Strategy Group, where they developed and implemented new media strategies for multiple clients, with a focus on online advocacy. Max also managed social media campaigns, blogs, website development, and SEO strategy for multiple clients. In the same year, they were a Deputy Communications Director for Matt Dunne for Vermont, where they wrote, edited, and publicized press releases, editorials, policy positions, and mass email messages. Finally, from 2011 to present, they have been a Vice President of Digital Strategy and Client Relations and a Project Manager and Digital Strategist for Liberty Concepts.

Max Luckey attended The University of Edinburgh from 2004 to 2008, where they earned an MA Honours in Philosophy and Politics. Max returned to The University of Edinburgh from 2008 to 2009 and earned an MSc with Distinction in Philosophy (Ethics and Mind, Language, and Embodied Cognition).
