Matt Yiyang Yan

Matt Yiyang Yan is an accomplished data scientist and engineer with extensive experience in generative AI, machine learning, and software development. Currently serving as a Generative AI Data Scientist at LIBERTY Dental Plan, Matt leads initiatives that enhance patient care and optimize member services through AI applications. Previously, at AbbVie, Matt spearheaded multiple R&D projects in deep learning and machine learning for Medical Aesthetics, while also managing interns from UC Irvine. Early in a career at Thales, Matt performed various engineering roles, contributing to the development and testing of in-flight entertainment systems. Matt holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and multiple Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Computer Science and Engineering from UC Irvine.
