Damon Cluts has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Damon started their career as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) Generalist at North Kansas City Hospital in 1993, where they worked for over 10 years, supervising the phlebotomy team and handling independent work. In 1995, they also worked as a Soccer Referee for MSHSAA. Later, they joined St. Luke's Northland Hospital as an MT(ASCP) from 1998 to 2000.

In 2003, Damon worked at Atchison Hospital as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) Generalist, where they were responsible for taking call for the emergency department and inpatient services. In 2004, they joined Truman Medical Centers as an MT(ASCP) Lab Manager, and later served as the MT(ASCP) Manager of Clinical Laboratory and MT(ASCP) Systems Director of Laboratory Operations until 2015. During their time at Truman Medical Centers, Damon played a crucial role in managing and overseeing the operations of the laboratory.

In 2015, Damon Cluts assumed the role of Director of Laboratory Services at Liberty Hospital, where they are currently employed. Additionally, they briefly served as the Interim Director of Surgical Services from 2017 to 2018. Damon's combination of technical expertise in laboratory operations, management skills, and experience in various healthcare settings demonstrates their strong ability to adapt and excel in different roles within the healthcare industry.
