Assistant Vice President, Legal Counsel at Liberty Mutual Canada

Nara Moon has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Nara began their career as a Legal Intern at GAP Institute of Advanced Studies in 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant for the Korean Canadian Lawyers Association. Nara then served as a Student Representative for the same association in 2013. Nara continued to gain legal experience as a Student at Law at BPR Litigation Lawyers from 2013 to 2014. Nara then transitioned to Deloitte Canada in 2014, where they worked as a Consultant until 2015. Following this role, they joined Mason Caplan Dizgun Roti LLP as an Associate Lawyer for a year before moving to Liberty Mutual Canada. At Liberty Mutual Canada, Nara has held various positions, including Claims Counsel, Specialty Casualty Claims from 2016 to 2020, Underwriting Counsel from 2020 to 2023, and currently serves as the Assistant Vice President, Legal Counsel.

Nara Moon began their education journey in 2005 when they enrolled at The University of British Columbia. Nara pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Affairs and completed their studies in 2010. During their time at university, Nara took part in a Language Intensive Program - Diploma in Advanced French Language Studies (DALF) C1 at l'Institut de langue et culture francaises in Lyon, France.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Nara chose to further their education by attending York University - Osgoode Hall Law School. Nara joined the school in 2010 and graduated with a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree in 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Nara Moon obtained a certification in the Rotman-CCCA Business Leadership Program for In House Counsel from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in October 2022.
