Gabriel Bassett

Gabriel Bassett is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience spanning various roles in the field. Currently serving as the Head of Risk Engineering in the Global Cyber Office at Liberty Mutual Insurance, Gabriel focuses on building a cybersecurity talent pipeline and advising both underwriters and clients on complex cyber insurance and security improvements. As a member of the Board of Directors at CTF Factory, Gabriel assists in guiding the organization towards educating cybersecurity professionals through realistic training simulations. Additionally, Gabriel directs the Ground Truth Track at BSides Las Vegas, showcasing data science accomplishments within the cybersecurity community. Previous roles include Lead Data Scientist at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, Chief Technical Officer at Information Security Analytics LLC, Information Security Architect at HCA, and Cyber Security Engineer at the Missile Defense Agency. Educational background includes a Master’s of Science in Informatics and Analytics and a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering, complemented by a certificate in Cognitive Neuroscience from the Neuromatch Academy.
