Melissa MacDonnell

Melissa MacDonnell currently serves as President of the Liberty Mutual Foundation and Vice President of Community Investments at Liberty Mutual Insurance, a position held since November 2000. Melissa founded the Liberty Mutual Foundation in 2003, focusing on accessibility for people with disabilities, support for individuals experiencing homelessness, and educational opportunities for impoverished children. Additionally, Melissa created the Give with Liberty program in 2007, achieving a remarkable 72% employee participation rate. Prior to Liberty Mutual, Melissa held leadership roles at Fleet Financial Group, Bank of New England, and Caritas St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. Melissa holds a Master's in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, an M.B.A. from Boston College Carroll School of Management, and a Bachelor's of Science in Finance with a concentration in Spanish from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
