Vlad Y. Barbalat

Vlad Y. Barbalat is currently the EVP, Chief Investment Officer & President, Liberty Mutual Investments at Liberty Mutual.

Prior to joining Liberty Mutual, Vlad served as a Portfolio Manager at GMO from February 2015 to April 2017.

Before GMO, Vlad spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs in their Securities Division, where they ultimately rose to the position of Managing Director.

Vlad Y. Barbalat has a dual Bachelor of Science in finance and information systems from NYU Stern School of Business. Vlad is also certified from the CFA Institute in CFA.
