Dru Danford

Dru Danford, CA(SA), CFA has a comprehensive work experience in investment banking and corporate advisory. From 2022, they have been serving as the Head of Investment Banking at Liberum. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2022, they worked at Shore Capital Markets where they served as the Head of Corporate Advisory and was responsible for leading various transactions across different sectors and providing strategic advice to clients. Before joining Shore Capital Markets, they worked at Old Mutual Securities Limited and later Arbuthnot Securities Limited from 1999 to 2004, specializing in advising mid-cap companies. Dru started their career at EY in 1994, where they worked as a Supervisor and Assistant Manager in different roles until 1999.

Dru Danford, CA(SA), CFA has a strong educational background in finance and investment. Dru received a Bachelor's degree in Business Science with a focus on Accounting and Finance from the University of Cape Town in 1992, followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting from the same institution in 1993. In 1994, they obtained the Chartered Accountant (South Africa) qualification from SAICA CA(SA). Later, in 1995, they completed a Master of Arts degree in Finance and Investment from the University of Exeter. In 2003, Dru earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute. Dru has also obtained additional certifications throughout their career, including being a Qualified Executive for AIM Market from the London Stock Exchange and being FCA Authorized by the Financial Conduct Authority.
