John Butler

John Butler is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the insurance investment banking sector. Currently, John holds the position of Managing Director and Head of Insurance Investment Banking at Piper Sandler since January 2020. Prior to this role, John was a Partner at Sandler O'Neill + Partners, L.P. from May 2011 to January 2020. Additional experience includes serving as Managing Director at Piper Jaffray from 2007 to 2011 and as Senior Vice President at both Houlihan Lokey (2004-2007) and Fox-Pitt, Kelton (2001-2004). John Butler earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Georgetown University and a Doctor of Law from Fordham University School of Law.
